Where should I register?
Register in your service area for items that you may need. Each agency provides different items. Some provide food, clothing, gift cards and gifts. Others only focus on gifts. Please choose one agency for help this holiday season as many people are in need due to Covid19.
NOTE- MOST AGENCIES CLOSE REGISTRATION BY DECEMBER 5TH EACH YEAR.
When do most agencies stop taking registrations?
By November 25th. If you missed these firm deadlines, contact The Salvation Army at 651-746-3595 for the Emergency Toy Shop. First come, first served. Or check the marines website https://minneapolis-mn.toysfortots.org/local-coordinator-sites/lco-sites/request-toys.aspx
HOW can we register for our children?
Pre-registrations are accepted online only starting late October until late November.
WHEN can I register?
Pre-registration will open late October.
How long will it take to get our email confirmation?
it may take 2-3 days to receive an email from one of our volunteers. Thanks for your patience as we are all volunteers.
What if I don't have access to a computer for online registration?
It is faster and more efficient if you can register online. We are serving over 700 families and request that registrations be done online.
WHEN do we pick up the toys?
In your CONFIRMATION EMAIL that you receive after submitting your pre-registration, you will be assigned a pick up time with instructions of when and where to pick up your toys mid December.
We DO NOT mail out anything to you - only email or text, so be sure to check your spam and junk email folders. Thanks.

What do I need to BRING to the pick up?
A photo id for you and any kind of id for each of your children. (social security card, school id, insurance card). Photo Copies are fine.
What if I cannot make it to the pick up times?
You can send a spouse or relative to pick up for you. You must contact us to let us know. Otherwise, we cannot hold toys for you.
What ages can I register for my kids?
Infant to age 18 years of age. You must be the parent or legal guardian in order to register them.
Will I receive anything in the mail?
No, we do not mail any registration confirmations. Only send emails. Please check your junk box and our website for updates on dates.
Can I register my grandkids?
Only children in your custody or that you are a legal guardian for can be registered with us. We do not have enough toys to help grandparents.
Can we pick out our own toys?
Yes, a personal shopper will help you choose toys from the table for your age group for each child.
What if we don't register in time by the deadline?
You will need to contact your local church, United Way or Salvation Army for assistance IF YOU MISS THAT FIRM DEADLINE.
Is there a toy shortage each year?
Yes, each year we struggle to fill the amount of orders and demand for families in need. We have expanded our local toy drives and sponsors this year to help with the shortages - especially for the older kids 11-18.
How can I help support this great cause?
We need volunteers to help for 2-3 hours up to serving on our planning committee. We also greatly need stocking stuffers and toys for the older kids
